August Poetry Pt. 1
Serendipity
I’m hanging by a thinning white thread,
So thinning, it’s showing its fuzzy follicles,
The sweet serendipity of our sadistic and masochistic love,
The overflow of our fried banana ice cream dessert,
At our table that you gave me a final chance at,
Eating our feelings, doubting what's above our ceilings,
This has got to end in bliss, for I don't know,
How we could miss each other any more.
I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You
I can’t help falling in love with you
It just comes naturally like the way all my words just roll off my tongue
Oh how we have seen our glory days
Still hustling hard yet nothing to prove for it,
Pricelessly, our love saves each day and every night,
Soon in time we’ll be holding each other tight,
I can’t help falling in love with you,
It’s honestly like breathing, like driving, like typing on my keyboard,
I love to see your eyes, light up and smile,
And this is the soulful root of the reason why,
I just can’t help falling in love with you.
Babe You Don’t Gotta Pay
Babe, you don’t have to pay,
You don’t have to spoil me rotten, you don’t have to pretend to be strong all the time,
You can have some of your weak moments, some you might want yourself,
I love you extra for it, and trust me, I still love you anyway,
Trust me, when I say to you,
Even after every ocean has run dry,
And we still can’t find an excuse as for why,
Our lips violently collide than we parted for very many months,
Making the sensation feel like dying in the night,
Babe you don’t have to punish yourself,
You’re not a career criminal to me,
If anything, you’re my golden framed mirror,
I see the same reflection back in mine, as you do in yours,
Babe, you don’t have to ever worry,
You don’t have to carry the heavy weight, or calm my every storm,
I like rainfall sometimes,
I like a little thunder and lightning between you and me, between the sheets,
I’ll adore this until we’re old and wrinkly.
